Adecco continue their support

Adecco New Zealand are part of The Adecco Group the world’s leading HR solutions partner. With more than 34,000 employees in 60 countries, they transform the world of work one job at a time.

As a way of giving back, each year The Adecco Group, including Adecco New Zealand, take part in the Win 4 Youth challenge that raises money through sport and encourages an active lifestyle. Every kilometre and hour of activity that an Adecco employee clocks up are converted into charitable funds. Mike Davies, CEO of Adecco New Zealand says, “it’s a global initiative that 60 countries are a part of and contribute to, and every year that money is divided up between 3 or 4 selected charities in which the Graeme Dingle Foundation has been selected twice over the last five years.”.

Of the 60 countries that participated in 2017, all of us in Aotearoa managed to collect the most kilometres per capita. Each employee collected an average of 1,242 kilometres which is an amazing achievement that our founder Sir Graeme Dingle is particularly impressed by. Because of their amazing efforts, on a beautiful morning at West Auckland’s Rutherford College, Adecco New Zealand presented a cheque donation that will help the Foundation to continue running programmes like Career Navigator.

“It’s our privilege to be able to donate a substantial cheque to the Foundation which is based around the support of youth” says Davies. He along with Tracy Smith, CSR Manager of Adecco New Zealand joined us to meet some of the amazing students who have benefited from the programmes. Mike addressed the students, explaining his career path, giving great advice and motivation as they head towards the beginning of their own career paths after school.

Rutherford College prefect Laura Robertson raved about the foundation’s programmes saying “The Graeme Dingle Foundation for me personally brought kids together, they brought the students together throughout the year… we all got so much closer and we had really good relationships”. Without donations, our programmes would not reach Taiohi around New Zealand like Laura. The Foundation is extremely lucky and grateful to have the support of Adecco New Zealand and their donation has allowed us to continue our work in transforming the lives of Rangatahi around the country. Thank you, Adecco!
